What is CA Glue Accelerator Spray?
A CA glue accelerator spray is a specialized product designed to enhance the adhesive properties of cyanoacrylate in scale modeling and various crafting applications. This accelerator for super glue is formulated with chemicals that stimulate a rapid chemical reaction in the cyanoacrylate adhesive, causing it to solidify and bond surfaces together quickly and securely. Superglue is formulated to cure and bond on its own when exposed to moisture in the air. However, there are certain scenarios where using an accelerator can be advantageous:

Not all gluing applications require an accelerator. For many everyday uses, like household repairs or bonding plastics, cyanoacrylate glue works fine without an activator. However, when speed, strength, or specific conditions are important, using a cyanoacrylate activator can be very helpful.

The CA accelerator spray can be applied before or after the cyanoacrylate, but it works best when sprayed onto the surface to be glued before applying the ciano. This method vastly accelerates the curing process, crystallizing the cyanoacrylate almost instantly, eliminating the tedious waiting time for the adhesives to dry and allowing you to continue working immediately. Be prepared, as it can dry very fast!

How to use an Activator Spray for super glue?
To use an Activator Spray for super glue effectively, begin by preparing your workspace, ensuring it is well-ventilated to avoid inhaling fumes.  Clean the surfaces to remove any dust or grease, then position the items correctly for bonding. Apply a small amount of cyanoacrylate to one surface, being careful not to over-apply. Shake it well, then lightly apply a fine mist onto the other surface, ensuring complete but not excessive coverage.

Immediately press the two surfaces together, allowing the accelerator to rapidly initiate the curing process. Hold the surfaces firmly for a few seconds to ensure a strong bond, as the cyano will harden almost instantly. After bonding, check the alignment and bond strength, and remove any excess carefully. Close the accelerator spray can and store it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and ignition sources.

Always wear gloves and safety goggles for protection, and ensure proper ventilation. Keep this product away from open flames and store it securely.
